Traditional Elegance

25 boutique rooms housed in traditional Nepalese architecture with dining and lounge area spread over expansive premises. The Old Wing, formerly the residence of the founding family for over 30 years, retains most of the original structure and is the founding principal to the design and concept of Dalai-La as a boutique hotel.
Surround yourself in the environs of traditional Nepalese architecture, accentuated with a harmonious balance of Buddhist motifs. From restored 50 years old hand-carved pillars and Dhunge Dhara (hand-carved stone water taps) adorning the courtyard to traditional lattice windows called Tikijhyā and hand-made Dacchi Itta (local terracotta bricks) on the facade of the hotel.
Hand-printed linen and upholstery to indigenous pottery and Pital (brass) bathroom amenities styled in classical design with a fusion of Buddhist artifacts and furniture: a décor to truly delight your stay.
